These are all quality apps, and what is “best” depends partly on your needs and budget. Below, you can find the pros and cons for all of the Evernote alternatives and similar apps I tried: Taskade, Notion, Obsidian, OneNote, Clickup and Google Keep. Long story short, I ended up testing most/all of the major Evernote alternatives, and wanted to compile each of their pros and cons here in the hopes that it will save someone else some time and money. I was originally using the personal Evernote plan before switching briefly to Evernote Teams (which is now over $25/user/month). About a year ago, I started went full time on my freelance writing business and ended up hiring more team members to the point where I wanted to switch from Evernote to something that had more functionality. Initially, I was using Evernote to take notes for projects and keep track of what I needed to do each day (for which it’s still a nice option if only because I’m so familiar with it). I wanted to make this post after seeing all the posts here asking for Evernote alternatives, now that Evernote has raised their prices so much.
